At the start of 2022 I began training to swim the length of Lake Windermere, a 17km open water swim in August.
I developed a shoulder injury in late April which began to hamper my training. It was then I went to LW Sports Therapy for physio and found out about TRAIN.
My partner and I signed up to the beginners class in June and then progressed on to regular classes. The strength work helped my shoulder massively and the injury healed.
Eight months training consisting of 6am swims, gym sessions, physio and more enabled me to complete the swim (Windermere End to End) an hour quicker than expected, coming second with a time of 5hrs 3 mins!
I am still swimming and training at TRAIN and haven’t had anymore shoulder issues.
